Handsome Mid-Century English Sterling Silver Caster Shaker 1953 Israel Freeman. Presented is an English sterling silver caster from Israel Freeman & Son Ltd.
This shaker dates from 1953. The piece has a spunky flared middle rim and a geometric pattern engraved into the top. This caster is topped with a nice finial and has a firm seal. Both the top's inside lip and the side of the base are hallmarked on the side with the maker's mark, the English lion passant for sterling silver, and the date mark S for the year 1953.
The maker's mark is for Israel Freeman & Son. The side of the shaker is also marked with the leopards head which represents London. The bottom of the piece is marked sterling and London. This piece is in good condition. There are a few small dents around the flared middle rim.Any black marks seen in the photos of the exterior are reflections and not damage.
