Antique ENGLISH STERLING INKWELL London silver hallmark original glass liner. Superb antique English sterling silver inkwell with elongated octagon shape. It has hinged lid and original glass liner in well.

Measures 4.75" x 3.75" and 2 tall. Has old blotter paper covering over the base of inkwell. There is mark under the hinged lid with lion passant and date letter "t". On one of edge there is full series of marks, but they are so indistinct I cannot make out. The maker's mark ends in letter "S" but the beginning can't be seen.

The leopard head London mark, lion and date letter mark also very faded. There is also mark "3", I think a piece or style mark. Inkwell without glass liner weighs 187.5 grams. Very good condition, only the most minimal signs of age and use and no damage.
