The bow and case has the British Lion sterling silver hallmark indicating it's sterling silver which is 92.5% silver. The case has the maker's initials J. James Jackson II who was a pocket watch case maker in London. There's also a Lion's Head hallmark indicating it was made in London, England.

The letter U hallmark in the Gothic font indicates the watch was made in 1855. The watch and case are in excellent condition.
