Presented is a lovely English Georgian sterling silver serving spoon. This piece dates to 1804 and was made by George Smith & Thomas Hayter. The bowl of the spoon is beautifully hand chased with a design of fruit and leaves. The handle is chased with floral designs.
The spoon has a gilded bowl. The end of the handle has a monogram of'F. This piece is in great condition.
There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is hallmarked on the handle with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter I for 1804, the King George III head duty mark, and the maker's mark for George Smith & Thomas Hayter.
