Presented is a fantastic set of eleven English Georgian sterling silver forks. This is an assembled set, all made in the same style and very close in size, but with a variety of maker's and dates. The forks have upward-turned rounded ends to their handles, with a little pip design. Five of the forks have no crests engraved.

Of the remaining six, three have a cresst of a demi lion rampant emerging from a crown, holding an orb, two have a crest of a hand emerging from a cloud holding an open book, and one has a crest of a bird. This set is in great overall condition. Six of the forks have some minor knife marks to the backs of the tines, while the other five don't have any that I can see. No breaks, no repairs, no monogram removals. Each of the forks is stamped with the English lion passant, guaranteeing sterling purity silver.

Seven of the forks have the maker's mark WT possibly for William Theobalds, the leopard's head for the city of London, the duty stamp of King George IV, and the date letter n for 1828. Two of the forks have the maker's mark for William Eley & William Fearn, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the duty stamp of King George III, and the date letter C for 1798. One fork has the maker's mark SH for Solomon Hougham, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the duty stamp of King George III, and the date letter R for 1812. One fork has the maker's mark WS likely for William Sumner I, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the duty stamp of King George III, and the date letter m for 1787. Ten of the forks are about 6 ¾ inches long. The eleventh is just a bit smaller, about 6 5/8 inches long. The total weight for the set is 477.4 grams or 16.8 regular ounces.
